Annual Security Report

The Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act of 1990 requires colleges to collect, publish and distribute information concerning campus security and criminal actions on campus. This information will be provided to all current students and employees and to all applicants for enrollment or employment upon request.

Drug-Free, Smoke-Free and Weapons-Free Campus

Drug-Free/Smoke-Free Environment Policy

  • Allen College, in compliance with the Drug-Free Schools and Campuses requirements, prohibits the use, possession, or delivery of alcohol, illegal drugs and other controlled substances in the work/school setting.
  • Allen College prohibits the unauthorized use, possession or delivery of prescription drugs or medications in the work/school setting.
  • All UnityPoint Health properties, including Allen College, are tobacco-free. Smoking and other tobacco products are not permitted on the college campus including classrooms, lounges, cafeteria, elevators, corridors, sidewalks, patios, parking lots or any other areas of Allen Hospital or the Allen College campus.
  • Students are subject to disciplinary action by both Allen College and Allen Memorial Hospital, as a part of the campus, for infractions of these policies.

Weapons Policy

Weapons of any kind shall not be allowed on Allen College property or clinical sites regardless of an individual having weapons permit issued by the State of Iowa or by any other jurisdiction. Read more.
